Ахатите в България (Здравко Цинцов, Бануш Банушев)
В монографията са представени резултатите от комплексните специализирани изследвания на ахатите в България. Включени са обобщени данни за терминологията и номенклатурата на природните SiO2 фази утвърдени от Международната минералогическа асоциация, както и специфичните особености на българските ахати. Разгледана е геологията на ахатовите райони. Направена е детайлна петрографска характеристика на вместващите скали. Прилагат се оригинални данни за състава, морфоложките, текстурни и микроструктурни особености на ахатите от всеки район и проявление. Предлага се концепция за произхода на отделни разновидности ахати в България.
Монографията е предназначена за широк кръг специалисти работещи в областта на геологията, гемологията, ювелири и любители колекционери на минерални образци. Тя може да се използва и от студентите-геолози в МГУ “Св. Иван Рилски” и СУ “Св. Климент Охридски”, от студентите в НБУ, както и от докторанти и специалисти работещи върху проблемите на декоративно-ювелирните минерали.
